A TPOL Blogmas | Day 5: Current Reads
Hi, hello, what’s up.
It’s Thursday. Cheers to the weekend approaching.
Quick question.
Have I ever expressed how much I LOVE reading?
Honestly guys, a good book & I will never have a problem. Ever. When I was a child, I used to always have one with me, no matter where I went. Reading was my absolute favorite thing to do.
Fast forward some odd number of years later, & nothing has really changed. I quite literally keep something to read with me, because every book that I order from Amazon, I also get the electronic copy from the Apple Book Store on my phone. & before you ask, yes, I like to have both. I love reading when I’m on the go, so having my phone is more convenient. BUT, there’s nothing like having an actual book in your hand while curled up with a blanket & a hot cup of tea at home.
So, here’s what I’m currently reading:
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck:
A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life
When life happens, instead of seeing things for what they really are, we tend to search for positivity & the silver lining every time. Which sounds like it’s the right & natural thing to do. I mean, no one likes negativity.
However, in his book, Mark Manson tells us why all of that needs to come to an end. He gives us the bare naked, cut & dry truth about life & the fact that things do happen, & it really is f*cked up. He tells us how to deal with what we experience as is, instead of sugarcoating & trying to make it into something that is seemingly less awful.
Authentic, super refreshing, & ridiculously humorous. You’ve just GOT to read it. In fact, everyone should. Mark’s strong words & method of thinking encourages in a way that allows people to get down to the roots of situations & become their TRUE best selves.
This book is a real treat & I can’t wait to read more. I’m SO obsessed.
Seriously guys, go grab it on Amazon here.
Also, let’s not end with Mark! If you’re into a good book that you just cannot put down, let me know! I’ll check it out!
Okay, I’m off to read some more.
Ciao, babes.
