Things I’m Loving Lately | Late Summer Edition

Okay, you guys. We’re officially at the point of summer where it’s still way too hot outside, & I’m actually over it.

I’m definitely not pulling out pumpkins yet, but I’ve started looking at warmer colors & pieces I know I’ll keep wearing once it finally cools down.

Basically, I’m still dressing for the heat while mentally asking fall to hurry up.

So, here’s what I’m loving lately.

+ Quince Organic Cotton Cropped Cardigan

First of all, overly air-conditioned restaurants exist, so I can absolutely justify a cardigan in August.

I love the cropped shape on this one & the chunky buttons are so cute. It’s cotton too, which makes it something I could actually wear now instead of buying it & staring at it for the next two months.

+ APOTHEKE Sea Salt Grapefruit Candle

I’m not ready for cinnamon-pumpkin-everything in my house just yet.

This one has sea salt & grapefruit, so it still works for summer, but the amber glass is making me very happy right now.

+ The Sak Los Feliz Woven Leather Bag

The woven leather got me immediately.

I love a neutral bag I can throw on without having to think about whether it works with what I’m wearing, & this one is just really cute.

Also, apparently woven bags are having a moment in my life right now. You’ll see what I mean in a second.

+ Anthropologie Travel Series Coffee Table Book

A coffee table book about travel? Obviously.

I love the cover, & I already know this would end up sitting out somewhere I could flip through it with coffee while convincing myself I need to book another trip.

+ Parachute Cloud Cotton & Linen Gauze Throw

This is the kind of throw I want when I’m craving cozy but it’s still approximately nine million degrees outside.

The cotton-linen gauze is lightweight, so I could toss it over the sofa now & leave it there once fall actually shows up.

Also, it’s Parachute. They know their way around a good blanket.

+ Steve Madden Riplee Leather Slide Sandals

I love cognac this time of year, & these immediately caught my eye.

They’re still sandals because, again, HOT. But the leather gives them that slightly more fall-ish look I’m starting to want right now.

I’d wear them with basically everything.

Except socks..

+ Quince European Linen Wide-Leg Pants

These are for those days when you want to look like you tried but it’s too hot to actually try.

Linen. Wide leg. Neutral.

Sold.

I’d wear them with a tank right now & throw on the cardigan later when the weather gets cooler.

+ Anthropologie Hollace Woven Mini Tote

See? Another woven bag. Love it.

This one is smaller & a little more structured than the Sak bag, so I’d grab it when I don’t need to carry half my life around.

I also love that it can be carried by the handles or worn crossbody..

+ Mark & Graham Cotton-Linen Zip-Top Tote

This one immediately made me think about travel.

I love that it zips because open totes at the airport make me nervous. I do not need my things falling out all over the place when I’m trying to clear TSA.

Also the monogram is super cute!

A Little Summer, A Little Fall

So that’s where I’m at right now. Still wearing summer clothes because the weather has given me no choice, but definitely ready to start sneaking a few fall things into the mix.

Speaking of fall, September 1st officially kicks off preseason here on TPOL! There’s so much fall related goodness to share, that basically it has become our Super Bowl around here.
