Autumn at the Estate: Another Hamptons Wallpaper Collection

I love autumn enough to imagine spending it in places I haven’t even booked a trip to… yet.
This absolutely now includes a Hamptons estate with a library I would be very difficult to get out of.
When I created the original Hamptons wallpaper collection, I loved its coastal feel. But I kept thinking about what that same setting might look like later in the year, once the weather turned & we started spending a little more time inside. The kind of October weekend when rain is in the forecast & staying at the house sounds like the best possible plan.
Naturally, I needed a wallpaper for that. Or several.
Somewhere along the way, one became five, & now we have The Hamptons Autumn Edition: Autumn at the Estate. I’m a little obsessed with how it all came together.
A Little Autumn Romance for Our Screens
This part of the season tends to make me want to linger over everything. Reading in bed gets a little harder to cut short when it’s chilly outside. An evening by the fireplace suddenly seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to plan an entire day around.
That was the feeling I wanted to bring into this collection.
The colors are deeper this time, with espresso brown & oxblood alongside muted greens. I kept the ornate Hamptons lettering from the original designs, then worked in vintage illustrations to give each wallpaper a different view of the estate. The backgrounds might be my favorite part. Especially that forest-green damask.
What I also love is that these designs can carry us right into November. I enjoy a Halloween moment, but I’m quite attached to autumn as a whole. My phone doesn’t need to move on just because October is over.
If you feel the same way, we can stay here a little longer.
Choose Your Room at the Estate
The Estate Library
You meant to have a quick look at the shelves. Now you’re several chapters into a book, tucked into a chair near the window while rain settles over the grounds. Every so often, you glance up long enough to notice it’s getting darker outside.
Someone will come looking for you eventually. Until then, there’s no reason to move.
October in the Gardens
There’s a break in the rain, so you take your coffee outside. The stone terrace is still wet, & a few fallen leaves have collected beside the steps. From here, you can see the last autumn flowers along the garden wall.
You pull your sweater closer & stay until your coffee’s gone. The flowers would look beautiful in the entryway. Perhaps you’ll bring a few in on your way back.
Rain Against the Windows
By the time you reach the upstairs landing, it’s raining again. Through the old window, the far end of the garden has softened into gray. You stop for a moment, listening to the rain against the glass.
You’d considered going into town this afternoon. Looking out at the weather, you’re perfectly happy to leave that for tomorrow.
The Guest Room
Your bag is still only half unpacked, but you’ve already settled into the room. A book rests beside the bed, & the sweater you wore downstairs is draped over a chair. You close the curtains as the last of the afternoon light fades.
There’s time to lie down before dinner. You slip beneath the covers, careful at first with the beautifully made bed, then considerably less concerned once you’re comfortable.
After Dark at the Estate
After dinner, you take the seat closest to the fireplace. Conversation carries on from the other end of the room while you stretch your feet toward the warmth. Outside the windows, you can just make out the terrace lights.
You check the time once, then put your phone away. You’re staying another night, & tomorrow morning can begin whenever it likes.
How to Save
All wallpapers are free for personal use, so download your favorites, switch them out throughout the season, & have SO much fun with them.
To save, simply press & hold the image on your phone, then select the option to save it to your photos. From there, you can set it as your wallpaper & adjust the placement to fit your screen.
This collection was created just for phones, so we can take a little autumn at the estate wherever we go.
Stay a Little Longer
If you’re anything like me, you’ll probably have a hard time choosing just one. Personally, I love changing mine depending on my mood, which is exactly why I always create multiple designs for each collection. Today it might be the library. Tomorrow, I may be very attached to that canopy bed.
& if one of these ends up on your screen, I’d love to see it! Tag me on Instagram @pursuitofl so I can see which one you chose.
Oh, & don’t forget to save the collection to Pinterest so you can come back whenever you’re in the mood for a little autumn escape. We’re in no hurry to check out around here.
See you really soon for some exciting adventures!
