Getting it Together

Guys. It’s been a minute. Like a LONG minute, because, hello May.

It just means that we’ve got a lot to cover.

So, let’s get into this.

2020 has been a wild ride. What started off as a good year, turned into an entire pandemic situation, & it’s been hard on lots of people for lots of reasons.

Who would have even thought that we’d see a pandemic in our lifetime? I mean, no one, right? It’s one of those things that you hear about in history, but you never really think it would be something you’d ever experience.

BOY, WERE WE WRONG!

Here we are in the start of a new decade, & we’ve been trapped in our homes for most of it (8 weeks for me). Yes, I’m talking about quarantine.

Such a cringy word, & the act of it isn’t that great either.

Don’t get me wrong, I KNOW IT IS FOR THE SAFETY & WELLBEING OF ALL OF US. I’m not knocking that at all. I completely appreciate being put into a safe zone.

But, that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t come without its challenges. Not being able to see family & friends. The loss of jobs. The lack of supplies to maintain ourselves. Tough. & that’s just naming a few.

Nevertheless, pros & cons. You know what I mean?

But here’s a thing. Texas is in the process of slowly “reopening” businesses. Of course people will still have to practice social distancing with masks & gloves, but it’s happening. So quite naturally, that means it’s time to get it together. Even if you’re in a state or country that is still on lockdown, it’s never too early to get your things in order.

Motivation has been lost, & this dreary time is super disheartening.

I get it. Trust me. That’s why I’m here to sprinkle a little positivity & inspiration onto you guys.  We are on our 5th month of the year. Let’s be proactive.

Here’s what you can do to get started:

  1. A Gentle Morning Routine

The way you wake up sets the tone for your entire day, so avoiding all abrupt sounds & movements will allow you to have a smooth transition into some really good time spent being productive. You can start your morning with some soft ambient sounds, followed by meditation, & some light stretching. This eases your mind & body into “go mode” rather than forcing it from loud alarms & jumping straight up. Just be gentle with yourself.

  1. Declutter

It’s spring & spring cleaning is totally a thing. Don’t fight me on this! Decluttering can help you feel better all around. & sometimes you just think better with a clean space, you know? It can really give you that extra push to get started on your to-do list.

  1. Create a Vision Board

Who doesn’t love a good vision board moment?! It’s an amazing way to get your creative side to surface & it helps put your visions & goals for yourself &/or your business into view at a glance. It’s super helpful, especially when you have a whole 10+ pages of things to get done (ME!!)

These are just a few of the many steps I’ll be sharing with you to help motivate you to be your best selves during this time. I’ve been working on these 3 specifically & I can honestly say that I’ve almost perfected my morning routine, & it feels AMAZING. My decluttering sesh is going well, & my vision board is underway.

I’ve actually completed some of my goals while in the process. Most of them are related to TPOL, of course. I know you’ve noticed the new look 😉

We will get into all of the blog updates on a later post. For now, I’ll leave you with these starter steps to get back to being the bosses I know you can be!

Later babes.
