A Peek Into My First Day Traditions

Oh my goodness guys!

Today is IT!

It’s the beginning of the absolute best season, & I thought it’d be fun to take you through my day. Fall always brings this cozy, refreshing vibe, & I’ve got a few special traditions to welcome it in.

So, grab your best drink, get comfy, & let’s dive into what my day looked like!

I love a good slow morning, so that’s exactly how I kicked things off today. I brewed my favorite coffee, & there’s just something undeniably magical about that first sip—it’s like the official start to the day.

Once I had a moment to enjoy the quiet, I pulled out my journal to start setting intentions for the season. Fall feels like a fresh start to me, & I love taking a little time to reflect on what I want to welcome into my life in the coming months. This goes for both my business & personal life. I love to get really specific here because the last few months of the year go by so fast, & if you blink too long, things can get away from you, you know? If you’re in the mood, why not grab your journal & jot down a few things too? It doesn’t have to be anything big—sometimes just setting the tone for cozy, calm days ahead can make all the difference.

By the time that was done, it was afternoon (I mean it when I say SLOW morning), & it was time to make sure all the autumnal decor is in place. Most of my decor was already up, but today was all about those finishing touches. You know, that moment when everything feels just right.

I also swapped out my bed linens for something cozier. Heavier blankets, warmer tones—it’s a small change but makes a big difference in setting that fall mood. If you’re looking to add a little seasonal touch to your space, something as easy as swapping your linens or adding a few fall-scented candles can instantly cozy up your home.

Now, it’s getting closer to the evening, & this is where the main event happens! I’m so excited, I almost can’t contain it!

Dinner’s already in the works, & tonight it’s all about comfort—homemade four-cheese pasta with vodka sauce & some Texas toast on the side. Seriously, YUM!

But the real highlight of the night? My annual Charmed marathon. Every year on the first day of fall, I kick off the season by watching the first episode of the original Charmed. There’s something nostalgic & magical about it that just screams fall. It’s my little tradition to unwind & soak in all those cozy vibes. If you’re looking for a fall tradition, I highly recommend starting a seasonal TV marathon in your downtime.

As the day winds down, I’ll be feeling energized for what’s to come. Fall always has a way of inviting change & creating space for something new, and today’s traditions have helped me fully embrace that shift.

I’d love to hear from you—how have you spent your first day of fall? Do you have any favorite traditions or rituals? Do you like to celebrate on the actual first day or a different day? Tell me ALL the things!

Feel free to share in the comments or on social. Here’s to a season full of warmth, intention, & all the cozy moments we can gather.

Until tomorrow, babes!
