Fall is Coming | 6 Tips to Help You Prepare
I’m pretty sure I’ve said this every year, but I am obsessed with fall.
Seriously, it has to be THE greatest of them all.
There are so many reasons to love it.
It’s not freezing, but you’re also not melting into a puddle the second you step outside. The colors of the leaves change to these beautiful golden browns & oranges that make you feel all warm & fuzzy inside. Your outfits just get cuter. & don’t even get me started on the comfort foods.
See what I mean? What’s not to love?
Now, if you’re anything like me, each season needs a prepping phase. We’re talking a whole new vibe here.
So get ready. Let’s discuss.
6 Tips to Help You Prepare for Fall
Deep Clean
It’s first because there is nothing like starting a new season with a really clean home. Typically this cozy season is when you spend the most time inside, especially if you’re having friends & family over for the holidays. So make a list of all the things, & get cleaning. You’ll be proud when you’re done.
Prepare for Pumpkin Everything
I cannot stress this enough. I mean, really, we already know it, but here’s your friendly reminder. All of the menus are about to change if they haven’t yet. They put it in EVERYTHING. Cakes, pies, cookies, coffee, cereal. It literally takes over.
Find THE Mug
I’m talking the reusable, aesthetically pleasing mug that’s with you everywhere you go — even when you leave home. If you’re into hot coffee &/or tea, then this is your go-to that keeps your hands warm on those cool days.
Switch out Your Wardrobe
I was talking to my mom the other day & I was saying that for me, all of the other seasons are great. But fall is really when cute outfits are born. That’s right. It’s about time to go to your closet, put away your summer clothes, & bring out the sweaters & boots & cardigans & leather skirts &.. you get my point here.
Adjust Your Skincare
Taking care of your skin is SUPER important. Even more so when the temperature drops, because cold air drys out your skin quickly. So, make sure you’re adding in your oils, moisturizers, & cleansers that are going to keep you dewy & hydrated.
Decorate Your Home
This is what I’m most excited about. I wasn’t able to decorate last year because I moved in the middle of fall & the pandemic. It was just pure chaos. I’m happy to say that I’m settled now, so my home is going to see its first fall makeover & I cannot WAIT! Do not be afraid to go all out. After the year & a half that we’ve had, I think it’s safe to say that we deserve to splurge & make our homes feel cozier than ever.
There you have it. Just writing this has me feeling all the warm, fuzzy, excited feels. I can’t even.
After today, we have 11 whole days to prepare! Have you started already? If not, when will you? I’d love to know.
Also, if you use these quick tippy tips, I’d love to see your progress. Share your outfits, decor, skincare routines & deep cleaning processes with me! I get SO inspired by you guys.
Alright. It is Friday. Cheers to the weekend!
Ciao, babes.
