I MOVED TO TEXAS!!
Hi guys. What’s up? How are you?
The past few weeks have been really crazy for me.
So much has happened & changed SO fast that it almost felt like my head was spinning. Goodness. Things have settled, though. So, I’m good. Originally, this post was going to be about EVERYTHING that has taken place, but after giving it some thought, I decided against it. Maybe somewhere down the line I’ll gradually tell you guys all about it — yes? Yes.
Real quick: LBDs. Simply put? Every girl needs one. Little black dresses are there for you for any occasion; or, just when you can’t find anything else to wear. They flatter your figure in every way. Get yourself one. You won’t regret it.
Moving on.
As you can see, I cut my hair. So necessary. It’s healthier than ever. Initially, I was NOT happy about it, but now I totally dig it. I think I’ll keep it short for a while. I love the look.
Okay, okay. On to the big news. This was kept quiet for the longest because I wanted to confirm it was a sure thing before it was announced to everyone. So, here I am — now living in Texas & honestly, I LOVE IT.
The idea of moving to Texas came from me agreeing to move here with my mom, at first. So the main focus was all on her. However, I quickly decided that if I was going to be living here too, there had to be something in this for me. Admittedly, it took me some time to figure it out because all I’ve ever known is Mississippi. I’ve never lived anywhere else. Ever. So, that in itself was the first thing that was added to the list. Living somewhere new! & with that comes new experiences, new opportunities, new people. JUST ALL OF THE NEW THINGS! (& let me just say, I’m glad I decided to find something in it for myself, because I ended up coming alone. My mom is supposed to be moving here later on.) Honestly, the excitement cannot be contained! I truly believe this is by far the best decision I have made for myself.
I’m so looking forward to flourishing here in every way. especially with the blog & school. That’s right, I’m now attending The University of North Texas. It’s such a good school & everyone I’ve been in contact with has helped make this transition so smooth. I’m really going to like it. But let me be honest, I will ALWAYS be an Ole Miss Rebel at heart. ♥
I’m also SUPER excited about exploring the state of Texas. With it being so big, there is always something to discover. The DFW area has been seeing me bounce all over, so far & it definitely will be seeing a lot more of me, along with the rest of Texas. So look out for those fun adventures that I’ll be sharing.
I’ve only been here a week, & life is better already. There has yet to be a dull moment. The big city life is going to take some getting used to, but it will be a piece of cake! This place has my heart already. It’s time to live my best life.
Ahh, it feels so good to finally get that off of my chest.
Who else has made a big change for the better? Let me know!
