Blogtober 10th: A Day in the Life
Hiiii.
Now that I’ve been blogging for almost a year, more people are finding out about what I do. That comes with a ton of questions, which I try to answer to the best of my ability. However, I still consider myself a baby in the industry, so I only give them what I know. Some questions are really good & some are just amusing. But inquiring minds want to know. Ya know?
My favorite initial questions is, “Well.. what is it?” It shocks me to see that so many people don’t actually know what a blog is. It’s always fun to answer this one. In the words of many other bloggers, I write on the internet. Another question I get is, “Why are you doing it?” Honestly, it was spontaneous. I was in my dorm at Ole Miss & it just hit me — I want to start a blog to share my thoughts & experiences with the world. & the question of the century, “Is it a job?” Yes. A full-time job, even if you only commit yourself part-time.
TPOL keeps me busy, in a good way of course. There are always things to do, whether it’s planning, doing a photo shoot, or replying to emails. But, my schedule isn’t strict because lots of other things tend to come up, like longer school projects, spontaneous trips, or the fact that I’m just tired & need a break. I do try to keep the routine going in some form, though. So, here’s an idea of what my typical day is like.

1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Drive to GV for kickboxing (early to beat the Texas traffic) & call Nana & mom in the car
2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Write some blog posts
3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Plan shoots, review ideas for future blog posts, & check emails again
4:30 PM – 4:55 PM
Drive to ILKB center
4:55 PM – 5:00 PM
Prep with stretching, water, & some deep breathing
5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Kickboxing
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Drive home
7:00 PM – 8:45 PM
Shower & dinner
8:45 PM – 10:00 PM

10:00 PM

11:30 PM
Get into bed, watch a show or movie, & social media check
The kind of day I’ve had usually depends on when I fall asleep, but most of the time it’s between 12:00 AM & 2:00 AM.
My days are pretty busy, but I enjoy every second of it. Let me be honest, though. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up when things start to get crazy outside of the blog. But somehow, I’ve managed & I’m really proud of that. TPOL has taught me perseverance, if not anything else.
I’ve come so far & I couldn’t be happier. I know that I have a lot more learning & growing to do, but I’m more than willing & ready for what’s to come.
Ciao babes.
