It’s Time to Check In

Hi babes.

How are you?

No, really. Think about that before you answer.

It’s been a long & rather difficult year, so I decided that it would be good to come on so we can all have a moment to REALLY check in with ourselves.

The other night when I was in the shower (because I’m convinced that most of my thinking takes place there), it dawned on me how absolutely insane this year truly has been. I mean, yes. We all know what’s been going on in the world, but have we actually taken the time to think about how we & others around us have been or are being affected by it all?

If you’re anything like me, since being back up & on the go, you’ve just been taking the hits left & right, but you haven’t stopped. This means it is very possible that you haven’t truly processed what’s been happening. & as each day goes by, a little more awareness slips away.

So, it’s time.

First, let me be clear: we are all here for a POSITIVE check-in situation.

Allow me to briefly elaborate with this fun nugget.

I LOVE this so much because it says what I’m sure I’ve been SCREAMING since I was old enough to understand.

Being positive – whether it be an optimistic thought in the midst of your chaos, or a simple smile when you are feeling your worst – does not mean you’re happy. It just means that you are simply grateful in spite of it all. Cannot stress that enough.

Now that we have that squared away, it’s time to check in with ourselves.

Ready?

Answer each question with lots of thought & consideration. Grab a pen & a notepad & write it down if you have to. You owe it to yourself.

I think it goes without saying, but being constantly on the move without making sure you’re okay can become unhealthy really fast.

So, checking in with ourselves & with those around us is vital, especially these days.

& allow me to just say this, because it’s not always a popular opinion. It’s OKAY to not be okay sometimes. Not being okay allows for learning, growth, strength, & just all of the goodness that allows us to keep going.

Alright, now that we’ve checked in, how are you feeling? I hope more aware of yourself, of others, of your environment.

Let’s take what we have & choose our next steps with confidence.

Here’s to a new week & another SUCCESSFUL month.

Until September. 😉

Later.
