Let’s Discuss Mindset for a Moment
Happy Friday!
It’s been one heck of a week, but a week that we got through, nonetheless. That in itself is something to be grateful for.
It’s the little things, ya know?
Speaking of grateful, I thought I’d pop in to have a little “let’s discuss” moment about mindset with you guys, because it really is the determining factor of just all the things.
& you don’t really realize it, until you do.
Here’s what I mean.
Let’s just say you’re into something you’re totally new at, & because it’s all so new, you just feel like you won’t be good enough, or you won’t be successful. Ultimately, if you keep that mindset, your results will be exactly what you’re predicting. & then it will dawn on you. I’m doing this to myself.
How wild?? But it makes sense.
Negative thoughts produce negative outcomes. Positive thoughts produce positive outcomes.
Not too long ago, a friend of mine introduced me to “The Strangest Secret” by Earl Nightingale. Earl was a radio personality & show host, public speaker, author, & what we would now call the “CEO” of personal development. Total badass if you ask me.
Anyway, in “The Strangest Secret” Earl gives us a LOT to digest when it comes to our thinking. & then he serves us the key to success & the key to failure all in one statement:
We become what we think about.
You’re probably like, “L, that’s no secret at all.” But that’s WHY he calls it strange. It SHOULDN’T be a secret, but many go without realizing that their thinking does in fact have an effect on what happens next.
So now it’s time to check ourselves.
Later in his speech, Earl challenges us to a 30 day test to take control of our minds.
For 30 days you must take control of your mind. It will think only about what you permit it to think about. Each day for this 30 day test, do more than you have to do.
In addition to maintaining a cheerful positive outlook, give yourself more than you have ever done before. Do this knowing that your returns in life must be in direct proportion to what you give.
This is so powerful & it’s true. But don’t take my word. Try it yourself. The results are going to just blow your mind!
Are you up for it?
I definitely am. & we are already halfway there by setting a goal to work towards in these next 30 days.
So, here are some tips to keep yourself in the positive area of thinking:
- Check Your Current Mindset
- Decide Your Goal
- Erase Limiting Beliefs
- Create a Positive Space
- Take Action
- Affirmations
I get super pumped about things like this, because if you really take it serious, the results are SO amazing. Earl & his philosophy are both brilliant. If you want to hear the whole speech, you can find it here. Totally recommend. I listen to it every morning.
Where are you with your mindset? Are you joining in on this test? Let me know! We can check back in.
Alright, babes. Take your mindset & go forth into the weekend!
Hope it’s a good one.
Later.
