So I Tried Whipped Coffee

Coffee.

Such a morning staple to kickstart your day. I can hardly ever go without it.

I started drinking coffee probably way before I should have, because when I was a child, ( OMG I sound so old, LOL ) my grandfather would wake up super early in the morning & brew a fresh pot. I’ll bet he still does this.

He’d pour his cup, always as it was, minimum sugar. Then he’d pour me half a cup, but of course I had milk or cream & sugar. Black coffee? NO THANKS.

So I’ve pretty much been into the coffee jam ever since then.

Recently, I came across this new trend called whipped coffee & honestly when I first saw how it’s made, in my mind it wasn’t the real deal at all because, excuse me, WHAT?! You’re telling me that this glass full of milk with a spoonful of this very textured concoction is a match for my brew?

Yea, right.

I totally ignored the trend & stuck with my brew until one day at the office, my coworker asked me if I’d ever tried it. I told her that I hadn’t & the next day she came in with all the ingredients to whip up a batch. I was eager to taste test so I could see what all the hype was about.

& I must say. Totally obsessed. It was so rich & delicious, I just couldn’t get enough. If I’m being honest, the whipped version did the trick of waking me up more than my traditional brew. I’m sold.

So, the deets. Because you NEED to try this yourself if you haven’t already. It’s super simple & quick, which is good because we don’t have all day.

Alright, let’s get into it.

What You Need:

  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 2 tbsp sugar ( granulated )
  • 2 tbsp instant coffee ( I’m now into organic coffee from Shop Club )
  • Milk, to serve
  • Ice, to serve

Prep It:

  1. Add hot water, sugar, & instant coffee to a bowl.
  2. Hand whisk or use an electric mixer until the mixture is fluffy & light.
  3. Add ice & milk to a glass.
  4. Spoon a dollop over the milk & ice & stir.
  5. Drink up!

You can also add creamer to your milk if you want added flavor.

That’s all there is to it.

I wouldn’t have given whipped coffee a second thought had it not been for my coworker, so I’m super happy she personally introduced this to me.

My coffee game has forever changed.

What about you? Are you into coffee? If so, how do you like it? You HAVE to give the whipped version a try.

K, I’m done with my whipped coffee Ted Talk.

Thanks to Labor Day, the week is already almost over, & I’m prepping for a super relaxing weekend. Spa day vibes, because we deserve it.

That’s all for now.

Later, babes.
