Use an Overnight Face Mask

Overnight face masks are exactly what they sound like. These masks are thick, & intended to lock in our skin’s moisture while we sleep. Just apply them as the last step in your nighttime skincare routine, & then wash it off in the morning for a dewy, refreshed face!

Change Your Shower Routine

There’s nothing better than coming in from being outside in the cold to relaxing in a steamy, hot shower. If it were up to my feelings alone, I’d take a hot shower for hours. But it turns out that hot water can actually dry out our skin more. Research shows it’s better to take quick (10 minutes or less) warm showers & to use extra moisturizing body washes, lotions, & oils in that order. If you’re a tough cookie, consider adding in just three minutes of a cold water shock at the end of your shower. This helps to lock in moisture and is good for your hair, skin, and even metabolism! But, if you’re a baby like me, sticking to a quick, warm shower is a good idea too.

Try Fake Tanning Drops

All complexions are beautiful, from fair to dark. If you tend to lose a lot of color in the wintertime from spending more time inside, you can give yourself a healthy glow using self-tanner. Self-tanner is not just for those with fair skin tones. Self-tanner helps to even out skin imperfections, give a healthy glow, & can even be used as a longer lasting contour even if you already have a dark complexion. Self-tanning drops can be mixed into your face & body moisturizer, & is an easy way to stay hydrated & glowing all winter long!

Try one (or all!) of these tips & let me know what you think, babe!

Stay golden all winter long.
