Easy, Healthy Air-Fried Salmon

Easy, Healthy Air-Fried Salmon, The Pursuit of L

Katie here again to bring you another delicious recipe to start the year off right!

We have plenty of time to begin implementing easy, healthy habits that will help us level-up all year long. This recipe is always a part of my weekly rotation, & is guaranteed to be easy, healthy, & convenient.

For a recipe to be considered easy for me that means minimal ingredients, minimal steps, & is done quickly. This recipe is intended to be all three, & is the perfect weeknight dinner.

Salmon has a ton of health benefits as it is a source for many healthy vitamins & nutrients, healthy fats, & protein. These are all necessary building blocks for supporting a healthy body. I try to eat salmon once a week for the benefits, but this recipe is so good you’ll be craving this dish more than that!

What You Need:

  • One skinless salmon filet (I recommend ordering this fresh from the seafood counter at your local grocery store)
  • 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard
  • Old Bay seasoning to taste
  • Garlic powder to taste
  •  Salt to taste
  •  Pepper to taste

For the Air Fryer:

  • Line the inside of your Air Fryer with aluminum foil or a non-stick liner. This will make clean-upa breeze!
  • Preheat your Air Fryer to 380 degrees.
  • On a cutting board, unwrap your salmon filet from the packaging.
  • Spread the dijon mustard onto the side facing up of your salmon. Top with Old Bay, garlic powder, & salt & pepper until there is a thin layer of seasoning across the filet.
  • Flip the salmon seasoning side down onto your lined Air Fryer basket.
  • Repeat the process of spreading the dijon mustard & seasoning onto the bare side of your salmon while it is in the Air Fryer basket. (By doing it this way, you preserve as much of the seasoning blend because you do not have to transfer it once it has been fully covered).
  • Bake your salmon at 380 degrees for 15 minutes, or until the outside has become crispy & the filet begins to fall apart with the touch of your fork.
  • Serve hot & enjoy!

For the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
  • Line a pan with a layer of aluminum foil. This will make clean-up super easy!
  • Spray the aluminum foil with a light layer of non-stick cooking spray.
  • On a cutting board, unwrap your salmon filet from the packaging.
  • Spread the dijon mustard onto the side facing up of your salmon. Top with Old Bay, garlic powder, & salt & pepper until there is a thin layer of seasoning across the filet.
  • Flip the salmon seasoning side down onto your lined baking sheet.
  • Repeat the process of spreading the dijon mustard & seasoning onto the bare side of your salmon while it is on your cooking sheet. (By doing it this way, you preserve as much of the seasoning blend because you do not have to transfer it once it has been fully covered).
  • Bake your salmon in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the outside has become crispy & the filet begins to fall apart with the touch of your fork.
  • Serve hot & enjoy!

Enjoy your cooked salmon with a side of rice & fresh, steamed vegetables of your choosing (I like broccoli, asparagus, & carrots).

Your body will thank you for this!
