With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, it’s a special time to pause, reflect, & also extend a hand to those navigating the complexities of their emotions & thoughts. However, this shouldn’t be limited to just one month—we need to make checking in with others & ourselves a regular practice all year long.

In our fast-paced lives, it’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of daily tasks, deadlines, & social commitments. But amidst the chaos, it’s crucial to remember one thing: to check in, both with those around us & with ourselves.

Why, you ask? Well, let’s dive in.

First & foremost, mental health is just as important as physical health. Just like we wouldn’t ignore a broken bone or a persistent cough, we shouldn’t sweep our emotional well-being under the rug. It’s the cornerstone of our overall wellness, affecting how we think, feel, & act in our day-to-day lives.

Now, let’s talk about the power of checking in. Whether it’s a quick text, a heartfelt conversation over coffee, or a virtual catch-up session, reaching out to those close to us can make all the difference.
